Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer

Recently, the simultaneous wireless and power transfer (SWIPT) has become a hot topic because of its potential to provide a cost-effective information and energy transfer technology for various Internet of Things (IoT) devices. However, it is challenging to optimally design a SWIPT system because it involves both coils and antennas.  For example, an obvious design challenge is to minimize the coupling and interference between the coils and antennas.  Therefore, it is crucial to use electromagnetic simulation for both the coils and antennas to overcome the SWIPT design challenges early-on in the product lifecycle.

In this webinar, we shall show you step-by-step how to use EMWorks’ simulation packages, EMS and HFWorks, to design and optimize a SWIPT system.  An example of implementable biomedical SWIPT device will be shown.
