Multiphysics investigation of a high voltage power cable using SOLIDWORKS

The submarine power cables transmit energy from one point to another under the water. Usually, the source is wind turbines. These massive cables lie on or under the seabed to transfer energy to the land. These cables are designed to operate in dynamic submarine environments for many years.

Manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing these subsea cables are very costly, and the simulation results should be accurate and efficient.

This webinar will discuss the capacitive, inductive, and thermal properties of a three-core sheathed XLPE submarine cable using EMS and EMWorks 2D for SOLIDWORKS.
